Michael Webber engages with senior executives as a sounding board and advisor at key stages in their careers, including internal succession; transitioning between companies and sectors; planning for the longer term; and building a professional life after full-time executive. His clients range from CEOs and board executives, partners in professional services to founders and business owners. He is a strong believer in the power of self–awareness and humility in successful leadership and career progression.
Prior to founding Manchester Square Partners in 2005, Michael spent five years in executive search, with GKR and Whitehead Mann. Previously, he had a 24 year career in banking, eventually focusing on capital raising in the international bond markets.
Born in South Africa, Michael was educated in Italy and the UK, where he gained an MA in Engineering at Cambridge University (Jesus College) and rowed in the 1973 Boat Race. When not engaging with clients, Michael enjoys advising graduates on their careers, trying to understand the benefits of social media, and acts as an expert witness on employment issues. For the rest, he enjoys life in Mallorca and the occasional motorbike tour.
